Mothers Matter

A woman’s childbirth experience is important. It has a long-lasting impact on her as an individual, a mother, an employee, a partner and as a community member. Ask the women in your life about their birth stories, listen and see what happens.

Mothers Matter – and how mothers are cared for during childbirth matters.

From Mother’s Day through to Labour Day, you are invited to share your birth stories in order to let decision makers know how maternity care and childbirth has affected you, or the people in your life. Your stories matter.  The Mothers Matter Campaign has been extended.  Please submit your story about why birth and how birthing women are treated matters to you.

  1. Share your birth story using our form.
  2. Forward the story or letter to your MPP or to anyone else in your community who needs to hear how birth matters to you.
  3. Mail us a postcard, and we’ll forward them to decision-makers to let them know about why birth matters to you.
